1 Injured In Police-Involved Shooting In Delaware County
SHARON HILL, Pa., (CBS) -- Authorities are investigating a police-involved shooting in Delaware County.
The incident was reported at about 3:30 p.m. at the 1000 block of Chester Pike in Sharon Hill.
According to police, an officer stopped a white Nissan for a traffic violation. Police say the driver then got out of the car, ran, and then allegedly started firing at the officer.
Police say the officer returned fire, striking the suspect twice.
The suspect was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. There is no word on the suspect's condition at this time.
There were no injuries to police.
The incident remains under investigation.
