Borgata Redoing Its Hotel Rooms In $50M Project
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- It's less than nine years old, but the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is already freshening itself up to try to stay ahead of the cutthroat casino market in Atlantic City and the northeast.
The casino is a little more than halfway done with a $50 million renovation of more than 1,500 hotel rooms. The project should be completed by July.
The makeover affects 1,566 rooms, and the corridors leading to them.
Each room comes with a 46-inch flat screen LED television set, a walk-in shower (big enough for two), and wireless Internet service.
The corridor carpets and walls are black and dark gray, with splashes of pink. Inside the rooms, gray dominates, with more pink touches. Their original decor relied more on earth tones.
