Boomer Esiason Was Not Happy With How The Rangers Played Thursday Night
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Boomer Esiason was not happy with the Rangers' 2-1 loss to the Flyers on Thursday night.
"Our guys [the Rangers] are going through the motion, your guys [the Flyers] are playing desperate," Esiason told 94WIP's Michael Barkann and Ike Reese on Friday. Esiason is one half of WFAN New York's "Boomer and Carton" morning show. "How in the world do we let Bryzgalov only give up one goal? You got to be kidding me?"
He didn't stop there.
"We only had 19 shots on goal last night. We have a 5 on 3, we decide not to shoot it. Then we have 5 on 4 and then we can't get it into your own zone. You got to give the Flyers a lot of credit," Esiason said. "They played with heart last night, we [Rangers] played stupid last night. We were soft last night and we are 1-3 right now and I am not happy!"
