Booker Pulling Out All Stops On Eve Of Senate Primary Election
By Paul Kurtz
CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - The frontrunner in Tuesday's special Democratic Senate primary election wrapped up a five-day bus tour with stops in Camden and several other cities Monday.
Newark Mayor Corey Booker is taking no chances, even though he holds an enormous lead in the polls.
On the way in to a senior center in Camden, the frontrunner told one supporter that he is running on adrenaline and caffeine. That combination appeared to kick in when he took the podium to give a get-out-the-vote address.
"Will you stand with me tomorrow at the polling place?" Booker asked. "Will you stand with me for Camden? Will you stand with me for our cities? For your state? If you stand with me we're gonna make it. If you stand with me we're gonna win."

Booker was joined by Camden Mayor Dana Redd and other city officials.
In the latest poll, Booker is leading by more than 35 percent over State Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver and congressmen Frank Pallone and Rush Holt.
The special election was brought about by the death of five term senator Frank Lautenberg in early June.
