Medical Examiner: Missing NJ Student Ruled Suicide By Drowning
NEW YORK (AP) — A decomposed body found under the George Washington Bridge has been identified as that of missing New Jersey college student Page Aiello.
The New York City medical examiner said Thursday the cause of Aiello's death was drowning by suicide.
Aiello's decomposed body was found under the George Washington Bridge by the NYPD harbor police Wednesday on rocks near 158th Street.
A police spokesman says the body was identified Thursday through dental records.
Aiello was last seen at her family's home in Hillsborough on April 9. The 22-year-old College of New Jersey senior apparently took her mother's car without permission.
The car was found the next day parked in New Brunswick. A passer-by reported finding Aiello's purse, cellphone and car keys on the bridge's walkway.
