Body Found In Back Seat Of Car In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating the discovery of a body inside a parked car in West Philadelphia Thursday morning.
The grim discovery was made at about 8:30 a.m. along the 5000 block of Ogden Street when someone spotted the body and called police.
According to authorities, an unidentified black male, who was covered in blood, was found in the back seat of a tan Ford Taurus. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say keys were found near the body inside the car.
The body has been turned over to the Medical Examiner's Office for identification. An autopsy is expected to be performed to determine an exact cause of death.
A spokesperson for Police Public Affairs said it hadn't been determined if the victim was shot, stabbed or beaten to death.
The incident remains under police investigation.
