Blue Cross RiverRink Celebrates Start Of 18th Season With Free Concert
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Blue Cross RiverRink officially opens for winter on Friday, November 25, with a free concert featuring sing Cody Simpson, an Atlantic Records artist with two singles on the Top 40 chart.
The concert begins after the ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon and will be hosted by Maxwell from Q102. Skating sessions will run from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m., and skaters can watch the concert from the ice. Two skaters will be randomly selected for a meet and greet with Cody Simpson following the concert.
The Q Crew will also be on site until 2 p.m. with games and prizes, and there will be free fun photos and photo keepsakes as part of the Opening Day celebration.
This is the outdoor ice skating rink's 18th season.
