By Merrill Reese: In recent years a game with The 49ers wasn't approached with trepidation. They went through coaches and other than their emblems and colors it was no reminder of the great Bill Walsh teams, but times have changed.
New head coach Jim Harbough has rekindled the spark and premiere players like tight end Vernon Davis and linebacker Patrick Willis are leading the way.
Sunday's game is a big one for the 1-2 Eagles. A sub-par effort will not get it done.
