BLOG: Rocket Launching Tuesday Night

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Keep your eye on the sky Tuesday, because you will be able to see a Minotaur rocket launch that is scheduled for tonight and will put 29 satellites into space for the U.S. Air Force.
The rocket will be launched from the NASA's Wallops Flight Facility and Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport on Wallops Island, VA. The window for the launch will be from 7:30 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.
Viewing conditions should be excellent here in the Delaware Valley because of the clear sky, and you want to be looking to the southeast. Areas in the Delaware Valley, South & Central NJ, and Delaware will see the rocket about 30 seconds after it is launched, while areas from the Lehigh Valley and north will see the rocked 60 seconds after launch. The launch may be visible from locations in Canada down to Florida.
A Minotaur rocked was launched this past September, and it was also visible due to clear conditions. NASA will continue to launch these rockets every few months, so you will get more opportunities to see them.
