By Jim Donovan: Starting February 2, 2015, the Philadelphia Department of Revenue is extending its business hours to include evenings and weekends.
Extended telephone and office hours will be Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays will continue with regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The extended hours will run through April 15 and are only for the Municipal Services Building, located at 1401 JFK Blvd, Concourse Level.
Taxpayers can pay their water and tax (both real estate and business) bills, obtain information and apply for assistance programs during the expanded hours. • Set up new tax accounts;
• Make adjustments to existing accounts (e.g., address change, closing accounts, etc.); and
• Resolve account disputes /answer specific questions (e.g., missing payments, adjustments, filing errors, payment details, etc.).
