BLOG: February Thaw

It looks like we have seen the last of the arctic air for a while. The overall weather pattern will change up a bit allowing for milder pacific air masses to return to the Delaware Valley over the next week. A couple of fast moving clipper systems will ride by to our north and bring partly sunny skies. It will remain breezy through Valentine's Day with above average highs on Sunday in the mid 40s and low 50s on Valentine's Day.
One of the clipper systems will slide a cold front through the Delaware Valley on Monday. The front should remain dry and bring just some clouds. Behind the front we have a brief surge of colder air arriving for Tuesday with highs in the lower 40s. The cold air is short lived as 50s return to the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday and then the potential for 60s on Friday. Average temperatures in the 50s and 60s occur in the month of April. I don't see any big storms over the next week or so with the pattern we are in. It's only mid February so there is still plenty of winter left.
