Biden Speaks On Economy At Lafayette College
EASTON, Pa. (AP) — U.S. Vice President Joe Biden says Americans should discount President Obama's opponents and get behind the administration's vision for the economy.
Biden spoke Wednesday night at Lafayette College, where he delivered the school's "Lives of Liberty" lecture.
Biden says achieving Obama's goals in education, health care, infrastructure and renewable energy are the key to economic growth and America's place on the world stage.
Biden repeatedly referred to "naysayers" who question the administration's goals, although he didn't name Republic leaders or presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
Biden says America can't rest on its laurels, and it's the president's job to present a vision for the country — and government must kick-start major initiatives through investments.
