Best Local Transportation To Get To Lincoln Financial Field
You don't necessarily have to drive to the game to enjoy tailgating at a Philadelphia Eagles game. Meet friends or family at one of the tailgating lots for the party. Or get together with your friends and join one of the professionally hosted parties held in the Jetro Lot, where all you need to do is show up and have fun. Focus on friends, the party and the game rather than the commute by taking public transportation, a cab, coach bus or a limo.
SEPTA
Public transportation is the way to go, especially if you will be drinking and don't have a designated driver.
To get to Lincoln Financial Field on SEPTA from Center City or North Philly, you'll need to take the Broad Street Subway Line to Pattison, the last southbound stop, where you'll walk the three blocks east on Pattison to 11th Street. From South Philadelphia, you can take the Broad Street Subway or the Route C bus southbound to Pattison. From West Philadelphia, you'll take the Market-Frankford Line to the 15th Street Station and then transfer to the Broad Street Subway southbound to Pattison.
If you're coming from the suburbs, you'll take Regional Rail to the Suburban Station, then cut through to City Hall Station where you'll transfer to the Broad Street Subway. If you take a bus or trolley from the Nearby Western Suburbs, head for the 69th Street Terminal and transfer to the Market-Frankford Line heading east and take that to the 15th Street Station. From there, you'll transfer to the Broad Street Line.
To get to the game from New Jersey, take the PATCO High-Speed Line to the Walnut Street Station and catch the Broad Street Line from there. Make sure to ask the cashier at the PATCO Station for a round-trip ticket good for PATCO and the Broad Street Line.
While most Eagles games take place during the day, there is the occasional night game, and it's good to know that if a game goes past midnight, shuttle buses operate on Broad Street to replace subway trains from Pattison.
Taxi or Limo Service
If you plan to take a taxi from Lincoln Financial Field to your hotel or to meet friends after the game, head for the northeast corner of Pattison and Broad, next to the Broad Street subway station. This corner is also the drop-off zone if you take a cab to the Linc. If it's a special occasion, consider travelng in style as you begin your tailgating party from the moment you hit the road. Head to the game in a limo and make it an event to remember.
