Berube Set To Make Flyers Head Coaching Debut
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – After making a coaching change on Monday, the Flyers will play their first game under new head man Craig Berube on Tuesday night as they host Florida.
The Flyers 0-3 start got Peter Laviolette fired and earned Berube the promotion from assistant. He is the 18th head coach in franchise history.
The Flyers haven't done much right here in the early going, and that includes scoring goals. They have just three so far this season. Key players like Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek, Wayne Simmonds and Scott Hartnell have yet to record a point.
Florida is 1-1 this season and they are coming off a 7-0 loss to St. Louis on Saturday.
Flyers went 1-1-1 against the Panthers last season.
