Berks County Sunoco Robbed, Clerk Assaulted By Three Armed Men
BERKS COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) – Police are searching for three suspects responsible for an armed robbery at a gas station in Alsace Township.
The suspects entered the Sunoco station on State Highway just before midnight, where they scaled the counter and pointed a gun at the clerk. During the incident, the suspects forced the victim to the floor and struck him over the head with a handgun multiple times. The three suspects then stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, several packs of cigarettes and the victim's wallet before fleeing the scene in a car that was parked on Woodside Avenue behind the Sunoco.
There is no word on the condition of the victim, who was identified as 48-year-old Gary Singh of Temple, Pa.
