What sort of education is needed to secure a good job in your field?

"When pursuing an education, a law degree is needed to practice criminal defense law. One should study pre-law as an undergraduate then upon graduation apply to law school which is a three-year commitment."

What is the most challenging aspect of being in your field?

"The most challenging aspect of my field as a criminal defense attorney is being everything from a businessman to a social worker to a trial attorney to the families and the clients I represent in a case."

After graduation, how hard was it to transition to the actual working world?

What advice would you give someone who is pursuing a career in this field?

"The advice I would give someone pursuing a career in criminal justice is you must have a passion for what you want to do and you must be able to separate your personal life from your work life. If you can't do that, the field of criminal defense is not for you."
