Beer Pong Championship To Be Held In Atlantic City
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- On tap for Atlantic City this weekend: the World Beer Pong championship.
A three-day tournament to be held at Resorts Casino Hotel starting Sunday will result in one team of players being awarded the $25,000 grand prize.
Beer pong involves teams bouncing or tossing ping pong balls into cups of beer. But in the tournament, glasses of water are used.
Sam Pines, commissioner of the tour, says his group took an underground activity popular on college campuses and turned it into a national competition.
The grand prize will be awarded June 28.
