Beer Lovers Gather In Camden To Sample Popular NJ Brews

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - It was all about beer Saturday on the Battleship New Jersey in Camden. That's where the 17th annual Garden State Craft Brewers Guild Beer Festival took place.
"It's the only time of the year that all New Jersey guild members serve beer at one place," organizer Gene Muller said. "We have 19 of our 21 members from all over the state pouring different samples of beer."
Muller is from Flying Fish beer company. He says the event highlights New Jersey beers:
"Seventeen years we've gathered a lot of new breweries in the state and there's a lot of great beer being made in New Jersey, now."
When asked what makes New Jersey beer different from other types of beer Muller simply responded, "We have attitude!"
Muller says his company brought their Sandy Fundraiser Brew for patrons to try:
"Forever Unloved Sandy, some people abbreviate it to 'F. U. Sandy', I'm not sure how they came up with that, but it's kind of a hoppy wheat pale ale."
All of the brewers brought one to three kinds of beer for patrons to sample.
The event was a joint fundraiser between the Battleship and the Brewer's Guild.
