'Basque' In The Spanish Tradition On Tuesdays At Tinto

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Craving a lovely glass of wine and yummy Spanish-style appetizers for happy hour on a Tuesday? If so, head out to Chef Jose Garces' award-winning restaurant, Tinto, on Tuesdays.
Travel + Leisure magazine selected this Basque wine bar and restaurant as one of "America's Best Wine Bars" in its annual "World's Best Awards" issue (March 2012). To celebrate, Tinto has added more Spanish wine offerings during its popular weekly happy hour, which also features tasty Basque snacks for $2 and drink specials priced at $5. The drink specials include a specialty cocktail, $2 select draft beers and half-priced glasses of sangria. For Spanish wine lovers, Tinto Tuesday revelers can enjoy three reds, two whites and one sparkling cava by the glass, all for only $4.
Each Tuesday, guests can order a variety of pintxos and montaditos (small, open-faced sandwiches) for $2 each. Dishes include: a weekly changing "Special Selection," Baby Artichoke Pintxo with lemon and Idiazabal cheese, Pickled Tomato Pintxo with sheep's milk cheese, Pulpo Pintxo (or Spanish octopus) with smoked paprika and confit potato, Portuguese Sardine Pintxo with piquillo and egg, Shortrib Montadito with pickled guindilla chile, Duck Confit Montadito with spinach and navel orange, Butifarra Montadito with truffle aioli and celery, Pan Con Tomate Montadito with sel gris, and Goat Cheese Montadito with bruleed fig.
Happy hour is every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
