Bally's Atlantic City Gets $5.6 Million Renovation
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) --- Bally's Atlantic City has announced a large renovation plan estimated to cost $5.6 million.
The renovation is expected to take four months to complete, with work starting on October 15th.
The changes planned for the updated casino include a completely new casino floor layout, new carpets and walkways, new chairs at table games and slots, and color coded slot locations.
"We're creating a whole new look and feel to our casino floor at Bally's," said Kevin Ortzman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Bally's, Caesars, and Showboat Atlantic City. "These renovations will provide us with the opportunity to elevate our guests' entire experience to unprecedented levels."
Bally's internal team created the concepts for the new casino floor layout, while architecture specifics were designed by the Las Vegas based Friedmutter Group.
This is the first major renovation for the casino on Boardwalk and Park Place since 2008, when Bally's spent approximately $60 million to remodel the rooms in Dennis Tower.
The renovations are expected to be completed in three phases, ending in February of 2014.
