Balloon Release Held To Remember 16-Year-Old High School Basketball Player Gunned Down In Southwest Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Family and friends fondly remembered 16-year-old high school basketball player Quamir Mitchell, who was gunned down last week. They released balloons near the basketball court he was shot and killed at in Southwest Philadelphia.
It happened at 57th and Grays Streets last Thursday.
Mitchell was a senior at West Philadelphia High School set to graduate in just a few weeks.
Police are still searching for his killer.
