Autopsy Confirms Bucks County Musician's Death Was Homicide

LEVITTOWN, Pa. (CBS) - Authorities in Bucks County say a well-known local musician found shot to death inside his Levittown home Wednesday night was murdered.
Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler confirms the autopsy report shows Danny DeGennaro's death is a homicide. Heckler says the 56-year-old guitarist died from a single shotgun blast to the middle of his chest (see previous story).
He says the investigation will now move into high gear as police try to track down DeGennaro's killer. "There are a number of investigative leads we're pursuing, no telling what might bear fruit and how soon or how long that might take."
Heckler confirms that a shotgun was taken from the home on Crabtree Drive but he couldn't say whether it was the murder weapon. Police were called to home late Wednesday night. His death has shocked musicians throughout the Delaware Valley who played with DeGennaro.
