COLLINGDALE, Pa. (CBS) -- Seventeen people have been rounded up in a pair of drug raids carried out this morning by Collingdale authorities.
Delaware County officials say "Operation My Block" has taken the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue out of the hands of two drug-dealing gangs, where neighbors had complained of drug sales and random gunfire.
"Individuals setting up shop, calling it their block and engaging in drug warfare," DA Jack Whelan said today. "Seventeen individuals were arrested for possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance. One individual was arrested on a domestic warrant."
Seized in the raids were small amounts of marijuana and cocaine, heroin paraphernalia, about $2,000 in cash, and more than a thousand counterfeit prescription sheets.
