Authorities: NJ Man Fired Shots Inside His Home
CHERRY HILL, N.J. (AP) — Numerous weapons charges have been filed against a southern New Jersey man who allegedly fired several shots inside his home.
Cherry Hill police say a SWAT team responded to Stephen Menyhar's home around noon Friday, after police received reports of shots fired. After some brief negotiations, the 65-year-old Menyhar left the home and was taken into custody.
Further investigation uncovered what authorities described as a cache of weapons inside the home, including rifles, pistols, black powder weapons and numerous other edged weapons. There also were multiple bullet holes throughout the house.
Menyhar remained jailed Saturday on $27,500 bail.
Menyhar's wife was also in the home at the time the shots were fired. She was not injured or charged.
