Authorities Investigating Underground Explosion In Center City
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Authorities are investigating an underground explosion in Center City Saturday night.
At about 7:15 p.m., an electrical fire underground reportedly caused a manhole explosion in the 2000 block of Market Street, according to authorities. Some windows were reportedly broken.
Firefighters and the Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) are on site trying to determine the cause of the fire.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
