Atlantic City's Old Hilton To Reopen As The Atlantic Club In May

By David Madden

Philadelphia (CBS) – As Atlantic City prepares to open its 12th casino on Memorial Day weekend another is seeking to reinvent itself and target the less-than-high stakes gambler.

While most of the attention is focused on Revel these days at the south end of town sits ACH, the onetime Hilton. Only next month, it'll get a new name - the Atlantic Club -along with a new approach.

CEO Michael Frawley wants to appeal to locals, not to mention those whose entertainment budgets are somewhat limited.

"They want to go out and have a good time but nobody wants to break the bank anymore. We look at it that if you come and see us once and only once, we've failed. If you come and see us four or five times, then we've done our job right," said Frawley.

So expect lower minimums at the tables, more economical slots, dinner in the $12 to $18 dollar a head range and free parking year round. All the changes should be in place by May.
