Atlantic City's Mayor Says Town Is Very Slowly Returning To Normal

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- South Jersey's largest shore town is open again, but officials there are warning that things are far from normal.
A good chunk of Atlantic City is still in the dark, and several traffic lights are out, leading Mayor Lorenzo Langford to issue this plea:
"I need to implore you to use extreme caution when you move about and around the city of Atlantic City," he said today.
Some residents may find their homes uninhabitable for a period of time. The city has set up a shelter at the Convention Center, although officials suggest that it could be weeks before things get back to normal.
As for those yearning to hit the casinos that are now open again, Langford says that's a personal decision, and if visitors want to come his city is as prepared as it can be, in light of conditions, to deal with them.
