Atlantic City Casino Revenues Down 12.6 Percent In June
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — Summer got off to a cold start for Atlantic City's casinos, which took in 12.6 percent less than they did at the start of last summer.
Data released Wednesday shows the casinos won $240.2 million in June.
Table games revenue was $61.1 million, down 16.3 percent from a year ago, while slot revenue was $179.1 million, down 11.2 percent from last June.
Every one of the 12 casinos posted a revenue decrease in June, ranging from less than 1 percent at Resorts to nearly 24 percent at Trump Plaza.
The calendar didn't help, either. There was one additional Friday in June 2012 than there was this year.
For the first six months of the year, the casinos won $1.38 billion, down 10.7 percent from the same period a year ago.
