PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An organization dedicated to reducing gun violence in high risk communities in Philadelphia was among groups participating in Macy's "Shop for a Cause" day.
Macy's stores partnered with several community organizations; 25-percent off discount cards were offered to shoppers for a donation of $5. The money is going to the respective organizations.

She says the organization works with residents of the 22nd police district, the community where Officer Moses Walker Jr. was shot and killed earlier this month.
"And one of things that we have been telling area residents is he it could have been anyone of us walking the streets so there fore we need to better job in terms of becoming actively involved in our community," said Davis-Bellamy.
Money raised goes to support activities for young people in the North Philadelphia community.
Other participating charities included Networking for Equal Education and Economic Development of Philadelphia (NEEED), Christians United Against addiction, and the American Red Cross.
