At Least 1 Winner in $636M Mega Millions Drawing
PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) — There's at least one winning ticket in the $636 million Mega Millions jackpot.
California Lottery spokesman Alex Traverso told the Associated Press on Tuesday night that the winning ticket was sold in San Jose, Calif.
There may be other winners. Mega Millions lead director Paula Otto said Tuesday night that game officials' count was not complete yet.
The jackpot resets to $15 million for the next drawing, which is on Friday night.
Traverso said the ticket was sold at Jennifer's Gift Shop on Tully Road in San Jose.

As CBS 3's Diana Rocco reports, from Malvern, Chester County to Burlington Township, New Jersey, the thought of winning and winning big is driving Mega mania.
"My strategy is spread it out. And I hope that nobody in North Jersey wins because every time North Jersey people get it," Sue Oanono said.
Not this time according to Sue.
She has already been to five 7-Elevens and she's not done.
"So far $100 worth. My husband did North Jersey, I'm doing here," she said.
(Rocco:) You guys have the state covered?
"You got that right," she said.
Cash registers are ringing all across our area. Mega Millions tickets are selling fast. The line has been out the door all night at this Cherry Hill 7-Eleven.
"I like my odds. I got $10 in tickets," a lottery hopeful said.
Others have opted for office pools, a light-hearted way to earn a few bucks has become serious business.
"I just bought 152 tickets for me and all my friends at work," Tara Basil said.
In Berlin, New Jersey, Village Tobacco sold a million dollar winner just last week. Now many are hoping for more of the same luck.
"I haven't sold any other lottery ticket than a Mega Millions. Everyone's coming together, anywhere from $20 to $300."
Lottery players have already started thinking about what it might be like to have a green Christmas worth more than $630 million.
"I'll buy another case of beer at least. But I have no idea. Buy a house at the shore," Dave Trainer said.
