As Anticipated Storm Approaches, Folks At Salvation Army Prepare To Shelter, Feed Extra People
CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- Folks at the Salvation Army are preparing for this weekend's storm.
"Yeah I mean if you're out in the cold, it's rough."
The Director of Social Services says some folks might decline shelter when it's reasonably warm outside, but not in the freezing or snowing weather.
"There's been a couple people that we've helped that were living out most of the time in the summer. There have been a number of people that do come around during the cold. So yeah, the cold is not a good thing to be out in."
Marquette McElhenney has been staying at the Salvation Army. She anticipates this weekend to have a lot more company.
Kuznits: "So you'll have a lot more people around you?"
"Oh yeah, they'll put them anywhere they can put them."
