Arrest Made In Connection To Murder Inside Delaware Motel
CLAYMONT, Del. (CBS) – Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington woman in connection to the murder of a Wilmington man.
Authorities were called to the Riverview Motel, located on the 7800 block of Governor Printz Boulevard in Claymont, on Monday at about 10:30 a.m. after an employee discovered the victim, Theodore Tucker, 52, deceased in his room.
Tucker's body was then turned over to the medical examiner's office, who ruled it as a homicide.
Homicide detectives arrested Sherry Jackson, 48, of Wilmington on Tuesday after investigating and finding some of her personal items in the motel room where the victim was found.
The suspect was found on the 500 block of West 6th Street in Wilmington. She has been charged with 1st degree murder, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited.
Jackson is being held in Delores Baylor Correctional Institute without bail.
