Arrest In Shooting That Injured Philadelphia Corrections Officer And Killed His Stepson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Over the weekend, Philadelphia police announced they were looking for 20-year-old Jalil Cooper in connection with a fatal shooting of a Philadelphia corrections officer's stepson. Now, authorities are saying he's behind bars.
Police say Cooper was arrested in a house about three miles away from his residence on the 4200 block of Penn Street.
He now faces murder and attempted murder charges for his alleged role in a May 20th fatal shooting on the 1200 block of Adams Avenue in Frankford.
It was on that day that police say a heated argument led to gunfire, the death of 25-year-old Edward Pagan and gunshot wounds to his stepfather, Victor Guzman, a Philadelphia Corrections Officer.
Cooper's arrest comes just days after police say someone threw amateur Molotov cocktails at Guzman's home early Saturday morning, in what some neighbors say was an attempt at "witness elimination."
No one was injured, and Cooper hasn't been charged for the firebombing, which police continue to investigate.
