PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a pharmacy in Northeast Philadelphia early Monday morning.
The robbery happened at about 2 a.m. at the Rite Aid Pharmacy located at Welsh Road and Blue Grass Road.
According to investigators, the suspect entered the store and approached the store's 24 hour pharmacy counter. Police say the suspect displayed a gun and demanded prescription pain-killers from the pharmacy employee.
The suspect ran out of the store after receiving an undetermined amount of Percocet and Oxycodone.
Investigators say the suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a mask and a grey hoodie. He fled the scene in a blue SUV.
