Arena Football: Soul Hoping to Get On Track Against Force
PHLADELPHIA (CBS) - It's been rough sledding here in the first half of the season for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League.
Philadelphia is just 2-6 this season, but they have had a rough schedule: six of those eight games have been on the road. That evens out over the next several weeks, starting with tonight's matchup with the Georgia Force at the Wells Fargo Center.
Soul head coach Mike Hohensee (right) is looking forward to playing more games in South Philadelphia, but he adds that they need to turn things around -- stat!
"Can we keep ourselves in position where these home games are going to matter for us, and make a difference down the stretch here as we are trying to win a division crown?" he mused. "If we can win our division, it doesn't matter what our record is, we'll be in the playoffs."

The Soul's 2-6 record has them 3½ games behind first-place Cleveland in the American Conference's Eastern Division.
As for Georgia, they come to town 5-3, and Hohensee thinks they are a quality squad.
"They play good defense, they play good pass defense, they take the ball away," he says. "They have a couple of exciting kids on the offensive side -- Brett Elliott, the quarterback, manages the game pretty well."
While there is still a whole lot of football left in 2011, Hohensee stresses that the turnaround has to start tonight:
"We've got to take care of business now. There is a sense of urgency to start getting some back-to-back wins and get this thing moving in the right direction."
Kickoff tonight at the Wells Fargo Center is set for 7:05pm.
