Electricity Slowly Being Restored To The Region, Mass Transit Back On Track
As of Sunday evening at 9:30 p.m.:
PECO Energy labeled Saturday's storm the worst ever in terms of customer outages. PECO is reporting about 36,000 outages and the goal is to have most of the power restored by midnight.
PSE&G is reporting 260,000 outages in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties.
PPL is reporting over 89,687 power outages with 70,266 of those customers located in Lehigh County.
Atlantic City Electric says it has only 4,204 outages remaining.
On mass transit, SEPTA is operating on a normal weekend schedule and its Paoli-Thorndale regional rail line has resumed.
Amtrak's Harrisburg service is not operating for the same reason, but a spokesman says service should be back to normal sometime Sunday afternoon.
Things are back on track at Philadelphia international airport. Airport spokesperson Victoria Lupica says no travelers were stranded overnight at the airport.
