Are You In The Christmas Spirit Yet?
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Are you in the Christmas spirit? The holiday just 17 days away, and not everyone has that holiday cheer yet.
At a diner in Northeast Philadelphia, Gene says he is scaling back big time this year because of the economy:
"Bah humbug. No money, no presents. No presents bah humbug."
Joe isn't exactly beaming with holiday excitement either:
"Hasn't kicked in yet, but I put up the decorations and the tree -- that's about it."
He says the spirit doesn't kick in until Christmas eve. As you can expect, Joe's wife Rita is the exact opposite:
"It's been alive for a while. I look right away to see what station has the Christmas music on. I have it on all the time and I love it. People think I'm crazy, but I love it. As soon as that Christmas music hits. I have the spirit!"
