HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) - The Archdiocese of Philadelphia will not be building a new Lansdale Catholic Regional High School.
Plans to build a new school on 68 acres of land in Hilltown Township, Bucks County have been scrapped because of the financial problems plaguing the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Spokeswoman Donna Farrell says the current Lansdale Catholic High school will remain open.
"Over the years they've made extensive improvements to the school," Farrell said. "There's a new resource center for iPads, iPhone and netbook use. They've refurbished the floor and the bleachers in the gym and upgraded the lights in the auditorium."
She adds, the property where the new school was to be built at the intersection of Limekiln Pike and Rickert Road will be sold.
