Archbishop Chaput Urges Catholics To Not Be Concerned About Papal Visit, WMOF
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – About a month away from the Papal visit, Archbishop Chaput distributed a letter to local Catholics urging them "not to give in to the anxieties and worries that go along with any major event like this."
He says, "There's always a temptation to focus on possible problems in security, logistics and transportation. When that happens, people can begin to wonder if the effort of coming to Center City is worth the time and energy. I promise you it is."
Chaput says Philadelphia is already the largest World Meeting of Families in history, going by the number of congress exhibitors and registered participants.
"Buses and transportation will truly be the best way for groups to get to the city for Papal Events."
Buses registered through GO GROUND will be able to access roads otherwise closed to traffic, according to Chaput.
