Aramark and CHOP Team Up To Battle Childhood Obesity

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Aramark and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia have teamed up to battle childhood obesity.
The project called Home Plate is a three year research project to teach low income parents the best way to cook healthy meals to keep their kids fit.
Bev Dribin, Aramark's Vice president of Community Relations, admits obesity is a huge problem for kids.
"By addressing this issue even in children ages 0-5, which is what we're ultimately trying to reach through teaching parents how to provide healthier meals for their families, we'll be able to make a difference and be able to make a difference for a lifetime," Dribin said. "By starting young and teaching healthy habits early on."
Aramark has donated $750,000 for the project.
