Apple Co-Founder Speaking At Entrepreneurship Forum At Rutgers

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CBS) - A big name in the tech world is a main draw at a forum at Rutgers University next week for those who might want to follow in his footsteps.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is the featured speaker at Rutgers' Entrepreneurship Day on Monday.

"He and Steve Jobs started Apple in their garage," Rick Mammone, associate vice president of new ventures at Rutgers, says. "They basically met in a home-grown computer club as hobbyists, and the computer evolved from there."

Mammone says the free event is for entrepreneurs who want to start new companies in the area or to improve existing ones.

"They can meet investors to get capital, lawyers, accountants, people who can help them grow their companies."

Mammone calls startups one way to recover from the economic mess.

The forum is on Monday, Nov. 14 at Rutgers' College Avenue Gymnasium on the main campus in New Brunswick, NJ, from 10am-4pm.
