App Shows Users Photographic Evidence Of The Toll Heavy Drinking Takes On Their Appearance
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The internal effects of heavy drinking can be pretty scary, but a new app proves that the external ones can be just as frightening.
Drinking Mirror, a new app that's part of the United Kingdom's "Drop a Glass Size" campaign aimed at curbing alcohol use, was released earlier in 2013 for Android and iPhone.
The app shows users what they'll look like 10 years down the road based on their drinking habits, citing weight gain, puffiness and deeper wrinkles as several side effects of tossing back more than a glass or two.
To use the app, you simply upload a picture of yourself then input some information about your weekly drinking habits. For those that frequently imbibe, the photographic results aren't pretty.
