App Helps Patients Get Home Delivery Of Medical Marijuana

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- You can use an app to order car service, so it should come as little surprise that there's an app to get medical marijuana delivered to your door. Now, the company is taking it to another level.

Need a pot prescription? EazeMD puts a physician on your phone.

Once you fill out the required forms and hand over $30, the app puts you (virtually) face-to-face with a doctor, who will assess your medical condition and talk about treatments via video conference.

If you're approved by an EazeMD, the service can dispatch all sorts of cannibis to your home within minutes.

It's as good as visiting a clinic, at least, according to California's laws.

Don't expect this anytime soon in New Jersey, which has some of the toughest medical marijuana regulations in the nation. A doctor must have an active medical license and practice in the Garden State, and must have an extended, ongoing physician-patient relationship with the person requesting the pot.
