App Helps Foodies Eat Their Way Through Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation is using a website and mobile app to help residents and visitors eat their way through Philadelphia.
Visit Philly has become a featured destination on the web and mobile platform called Foodspotting, which is dedicated to helping people find the best foods and share them.
Caroline Bean is social media director for the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation. She calls it Foodspotting a combination of Flicker and Foursquare, "People can take photos of their favorite dishes or foods that they are buying. People who are on Foodspotting can bookmark foods they want to try or endorse their favorite foods."
You can hear Karin Phillips' interview with Caroline Bean in this CBS Philly "Philly Scene" podcast…
