App Allows Pet Parents To Video Chat With, Dispense Treats To Pet From Afar
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Pet-owners anxious about leaving their dog or cat at home alone have a new app to fall back on.
ICPooch, a new app for Android and iPhone, allows pet parents to video chat with their dog or cat from afar and even reward him or her with treats.
Users download the free iCPooch app to their smartphone and then use their tablet at home and the iCPooch unit and treat dispenser to interact with their pet face-to-face.
According to the company's website, the product was developed by 12-year-old Brooke Martin, of Spokane, Washington and is available from several retailers, including Amazon.
CBSNews reports that Martin has already sold hundreds online and hopes to have the product on store shelves in time for the holidays.
