Florida's Addazio New Temple Football Coach
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Sources tell KYW Newsradio that Florida offensive coordinator Steve Addazio will be the next football head coach at Temple University.
Temple will be holding a news conference Thursday morning to announce the new coach. ESPN is reporting that Addazio will remain with the University of Florida through the January 1st Outback Bowl against Penn State.
The Owls football program was sent looking for a new coach after Al Golden was named head coach at the University of Miami, and was anxious to continue the substantial forward progress the program made under Golden.
The 51-year-old Addazio had been a member of Urban Meyer's staff at Florida during Meyer's six-year tenure with the Gators. Addazio has also been an assistant coach at Syracuse, Notre Dame, and Indiana.
