Another Unexpected Pot Delivery Arrives At Home In Upper Darby

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) - For the second time in a week, an unsolicited marijuana shipment has turned up randomly at an Upper Darby residence. The latest shipment of a five-pound package surfaced at South Keystone Avenue. (see previous story)

Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says both packages were sent from fake Arizona addresses.

"A homeowner on Keystone Avenue, which is right behind the police station, was expecting a package from Babies-R-Us. They opened it up and inside they found the marijuana."

Chitwood says police were called immediately.

An effort was made to disguise any marijuana odor by packaging with layers of plastic tape, vinegar and motor oil so as to avoid being detected by drug sniffing dogs.

Over the past year about, eight packages have been sent this way. Values differ depending on shipment size.
