Another Homicide Added To Camden's Growing List
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — Officials in Camden say another homicide has been committed in the city.
Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk's office says 36-year-old Rahkeem Byrd of Gloucester Township was shot outside and fled the scene but collapsed in a nearby house where his body was found.
Byrd was pronounced dead about a half hour later at Cooper Hospital.
Police have not identified a suspect in the shooting.
Last month, Camden surpassed its previous record of 58 homicides in a year. The old record was set in 1995.
