AnnaSophia Robb Spills About The Carrie Diaries

On Friday morning CBS3/CW Philly news anchor, Ukee Washington, spoke with AnnaSophia Robb, star of the hit CW series The Carrie Diaries, via satellite.

But this wasn't their first time chatting. AnnaSophia and Ukee had met a few years back when she was promoting a movie. So she was more than ready to give him the scoop when it came to starring on The Carrie Diaries

She reveals that she was too young to watch Sex and the City when it was on the air, but she now catches up by watching reruns. She says she tries to study Sarah Jessica Parker (the original Carrie Bradshaw) to form a foundation to play a younger Carrie. But she is adamant The Carrie Diaries is not trying to duplicate Sex and the City. She explains it is a combination of the original show and the book series (The Carrie Diaries.)

One thing that Robb keeps consistent with the original Carrie Bradshaw is her signature curly hair. Robb admits she wishes she had naturally curly hair because it takes a lot of time to perfect the hairstyle. But she loves rocking the curls and enthusiastically says "the bigger the better!"

Robb reveals the best part of being on The Carrie Diaries is "finally seeing all of the hard work pay off." She says "we shot the pilot back in March, so it is great to finally see the show on the air."

You can catch AnnaSophia Robb on The Carrie Diaries Mondays at 8 p.m. right here on the CW Philly.
