Angelo Cataldi, Leslie Gudel Will Compete In Hitting Challenge To Go Phillies Phantasy Camp

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- In 1973, Bobby Riggs took on Billie Jean King at the Astrodome in a 'Battle of the Sexes' tennis match.

On Wednesday morning during the 94WIP Morning Show, the Phillies Director of Publicity John Brazer, proposed a 'Battle of the Sexes' 2014 between 94WIP radio host Angelo Cataldi and Comcast SportsNet Phillies reporter Leslie Gudel.

"So what I challenge, in the next couple of weeks, we take you Angelo Cataldi, we take Leslie Gudel, we do a little hitting challenge in the cage with a pitching machine," Brazer said. "You have Ben Davis as your coach. But the winner goes to Phillies Phantasy Camp."

The two agreed. Here are the contest details:

Who: Angelo Cataldi (coached by Ben Davis) vs. Leslie Gudel (coached by Mickey Morandini)

What: "Battle of the Sexes" Hitting Challenge

Where: Indoor Batting Cages at Citizens Bank Park (not open to public, but video will be available)

When: Thursday, December 4th

"Let me make this abundantly clear, no female is gonna beat the big fella," Cataldi joked. "I want a machine and I want it slow. I do not have fast reflexes."

The winner will go to Phillies Phantasy Camp in Florida and receiver their own personalized official Phillies uniform, all playing equipment (except your glove and cleats), a chance to meet the greatest Phillies' legends,and special attention from professional baseball trainers.
